does not fit true to size

I was excited about my new Nike sneaker purchase. I hit the shoe yesterday tried it on and it was so tight it cut my blood circulation off in my feet. I tried walking on the shoe thinking it would stretch or give but it didn't. I have always had trouble with Nike sneakers running smaller than other sneakers I have purchased in the past. I went on the description about the shoe advertised as "fitting true to size" boy are they wrong. I am sending the sneaker back and purchasing the next size up to see how that fit.
