Inspired by nature's bounty, Fjällräven Kånken was established in 1960 by Swedish-born Åke Nordin to make nature accessible to more people. Wanting to create a backpack that was comfortable to carry and had room for gear, Åke produced a backpack with an aluminum frame. Expanding his collection to include tents, sleeping bags, jackets, and trousers, Fjällräven Kånken went further afield in Europe to start a 110 km-long trek through northern Sweden in 2005 to get more people to explore the outdoors. With sustainability at the core of its collections, the brand continues to create and innovate its products to enable people to enjoy nature.
