Physics Matters

The all ceramic slow cooker insert finally failed us. UNFORTUNATELY, All-Clad no longer makes the insert. Rather the company offered to sell us a "cast aluminum" with a ceramic coating replacement. No bueno :( Thermal mass is critical in slow cooking.

Beautiful piece!

This slow cooker is easy on the eyes, and easy to operate. I've had the 4 quart version for over 10 years now, and never had the issues that others seemed to have had; not a bubble, not a scratch. I've only used silicone tools, and hand-washed it. Still looks brand new inside and out. Wanted the larger version for entertaining. If you take care of it, it will take care of you! Love this thing!

Good cooker...terrible coating

The cooker is great, but the teflon coating is terrible. It is peeling off the aluminum pot. A replacement pot is almost the cost of a new cooker. Thank goodness for disposable liners.

7 court slow cooker

Bought as a gift for my sister, second one as her first stopped working. She loves it and uses it for all of her holidays and family events. Also, looks nice on her countertop as well.

Garbage slow cooker insert

Like everyone else- peeling and bubbling - we have had our All-Clad slow cooker for about five years and there has been a small flaw in the insert from last year but when i took it out of the box to use for Thanksgiving this year the bottom of the insert had several places of bubbling. Totally unacceptable for a high-end appliance. We were hoping to replace our teflon cookware with quality AC stainless steel, but i'm seeing the AC quality in action here so we'll have to look elsewhere for cookware.
