oil resin seeped through causing a difficult mess to clean
My expectation was this stone would prevent the burnt pizza on the floor of the oven. It's actually worse than just cheese. Oil(?) seeped through the stone leaving a tar-like resin on the oven floor. Oven cleaner round 5... booooo may as well place pizza right on the rack after all.

Pizza Stone
This pizza stone is very sturdy. I like that it comes with handles for easy removal and placement in the oven. It also comes with a pizza cutter that has a firm metal handle. The stone heats up evenly and makes pizza have the perfect crispy crust.

Great pizza stone!
The stone is extremely heavy, but the carrying tray is very sturdy. The carrying tray makes it very easy to get in and out of the oven. The stone can be cured ahead of time or just let it happen over time. The stone will scratch and show wear if you cut the pizza while still on the stone, but it stays warmer that way. It's not meant to stay pristine, it collects oil because its porous. Delivers a good crispy crust every time!
