Gorgeous Brocade Pattern
Beautiful dress. Fell in love with this dress when I saw it in person. The online photo does not show off the material and pattern as well as in person does. Also, I found that the dress ended more mid-calve than what is shown on the model, which I was happy about.

A hit!
The dress is a metallic brocade jacquard so, naturally, it's going to be a bit stiff, but it is pretty and well-made, particularly in the armholes, where dresses are usually too large. The hem could use a bit of help, but the fit is true to size and the price is reasonable. I bought it for an event and absolutely everyone was asking me about it. Got compliments galore! The styling (IMHO) is extremely important in a patterned dress like this one. I paired it with a light duster coat in pale blue and added a large brooch at the waist. I added gold sandals and handbag, but it would work equally well with silver elements. One thing that is not obvious is that it is a "faux wrap" skirt, so it's very comfortable. By no means it is garish! Not sure why the other reviewer said that. It does look like the picture. If anything, the pale blue is a bit more saturated. As you can see from my picture, it photographs just like in the advertised picture!

Dress not as pictured
This dress is far more glitzy than pictured; in fact it is quite garish. I ordered a size 2 and it fits more like a size 6. The dress is voluminous and very stiff. It is definitely going back.
