Synthetic not leather
I also ordered these boots in September thinking they were leather, but they are synthetic. The boots also came over two months later and recently received them.
Studded Boots are SYNTHETIC not Leather Upper!!
Ordered the Aqua Studded boots after seeing them featured in Bloomingdale's "From Italy With Love" Fall catalog, on page 122. They are described as "Aqua Heris Leather Boots". In addition, the description on the website states "Leather or Suede" upper for the Heris boots. That is not true. I could tell the boots were synthetic the second I touched them; they look and feel fake because they are indeed fake leather. On the inside of the boots it states: Synthetic Upper; Synthetic Sock; Balance Man Made. I contacted Bloomingdales and asked them to correct the website but there wasn't any urgency on their part at all. After speaking to a supervisor, received a small credit to my account, but that took having to speak to two representatives, a lengthy phone call and multiple requests. Don't pay $200+ for synthetic leather that will disintegrate sooner or later and is bad for the environment. Natural materials will breathe, never disintegrate and are a better investment. I was scammed.
