It really ties the room together

This is a stunning rug with red and green colors, a combination that is difficult to find in traditional wool rugs (usually the combo is red and blue). The pile is thick and soft, made even better with a rug pad. The pattern is somewhat unusual for a Sarouk rug with the checkerboard design. I wanted something without a center medallion and this one is even better than many of the straight floral designs that are common with these kinds of rugs. It looks great layered with different textiles (leather, linen, velvet, vintage fabrics) and patterns galore (anything from chintz to block prints to tapestry fabric)—all of which I have in the same room. It’s an amazing rug that The Dude would approve of.
