Adorned with large flowers on tree-like stems and wild animals, the Collection Braquenie is distinguished by the richness of its decoration, the finesse of its motifs, and its magnificent color palette. The ensemble evokes Indian palampores, richly decorated fabrics that were very popular in the 18th century and were generally used as bedspreads or wall hangings. The service is based on the prints of two emblematic fabrics still published today, Grand Corail and La Menagerie, created in the 19th century by the furniture textile company Braquenie, founded in 1823.
