Classic but post broke today

Classic, elegant earrings that you can dress up or down and I did. I wore them for several days because they were so comfortable and loved them but then I put them back in the box, backs on, intact. When I attempted to remove the backs to put them back on today, the post on one just snapped. So disappointing. For such expensive earrings, I expected so much more. I literally just got these a week ago! Not sure if I got a bad set or what & they are gorgeous & comfortable, I’m just not sure of the quality now.
