Breville Toaster

Replacing a Breville toaster that was at least 10 years old. Great product especially its durability. Brand that doesn't usually go on sale but worth the price. Ordered online and shipped 3-5 days. Great experience!

Design flaws with the toaster

Hello - I bought this toaster thinking it would last several years, but unfortunately it needs to be discarded. Within the first 6 months the lever knob for the browning broke. Now the lever to pull down and toast bread no longer stays down. It was highly recommended in several reviews but I think the design of this toaster using plastic is not meant to last long.

Excellent uniform color and toasting options

Earned the top rating of a major consumer reporting agency. Does all things well - easy to understand adjustments, provides a uniform result at every setting, even very dark toast on gluten free bread.

overcooks bread from the outside edges in

this toaster starts cooking bread from the outside edges in. the edges tend to be very dark or slightly burnt while the center is under toasted

Good looking toaster but it didn't last

I like the look of this toaster and ours worked fine for nearly 7 years but then it suddenly died without warning. We push the lever down and it pops up 2 seconds later regardless of the setting, or it fails to start warming altogether. I feel like 7 years use is too short for a toaster on the pricier end.

Disappointed - only toasts on one side

I researched toasters and purchased this one because of the recommendation on Good Housekeeping and Consumers Reports. I normally don't spend this much on a toaster but decided it must be worth it. After using it repeatedly, I'm very disappointed. It only toasts one side of the bread and I have to flip the bread to get the other side toasted. The bagel setting is NOT activated (the light is not on) Is there something I'm missing? I'm incredibly disappointed in this toaster.
