Great kettle

Great colour and design and so far functions exactly as described. Love the various heat settings and keep warm setting.

Quality and longevity is poor

There is a quality and longevity issue with the Smart Kettle Luxe. Given the price point, this turns into a value for the money issue. My wife bought this kettle in November of 2023. A mere 21 months later, the kettle boils fine, but the lid no longer closes. We have to put a heavy cup on the kettle to keep the lid closed as it comes to a boil. This is a quality issue that definitely affects convenience and useability. Less than two years longevity might be acceptable for a cheap kettle, but not for a premium kettle at a premium price.

Lid no longer closes

Bought the Smart Kettle Luxe in November of 2023. 21 months later, the kettle boils fine, but the lid no longer closes. We have to put a heavy cup on the kettle to keep the lid closed as it comes to a boil. It is a minor thing, but it definitely affects convenience and useability. That is to be expected for a cheap kettle, but not for this price.

Liked it so much we purchased another

This was a replacement for an old Breville kettle we owned and purchased many years ago from another company. It matches our other Breville small appliances and is used on a daily basis for green, black, and herbal teas as well as French press. Easy to use and performs well.

Steam gets on hand when pouring

When I pour the water out of this kettle seam leaks out from the lid and gets on my hand. I find it extremely irritating. This may just be mine, but the seal is off and doesn't hold the seam in. I have other Breville products that I love, but this one isn't working for me. Things I do like are the design and temperature settings.
