Excellent quality and elegant design
I’m really happy with this bag! I took it (and the Rhapsody Expandable tote), on a 10-day European trip and easily fit everything I needed without expanding either bag. On my return flight, I expanded the spinner bag and checked it, then had plenty of room for my in-flight essentials plus duty-free goodies in the expanded tote (which also is a perfect weekend bag). The 22” Expandable Spinner looks great and is very well-constructed. The wheels glide smoothly and they easily handle various surfaces. I read several reviews that reported issues with the zippers and/or expansion/compression mechanism, but my bag functioned perfectly. I do have to mention that it’s a bit on the heavy side (8+ lbs), so when fully packed, it requires a gym membership to hoist it overhead. Also, it exceeds the dimension limits for many International airlines, especially the smaller regional carriers. I usually fly BA to Europe (they have the most generous size/weight allowances), but I’d have to either check it or take my smaller carry-on with most other airlines. The size and weight were not a dealbreaker for me, but your mileage may vary. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my B&R purchases and look forward to many years of travel with them!

As of now we are happy with the product; however, we have not had the opportunity to use the new luggage for travel. We have a cruise scheduled within a week and upon our return we will have a much better idea of how the product performs.

Great for quick trip
I bought this bag because my other carryon had a bad wheel and it was a little flimsy. It did last a couple of trips so I’m not complaining. This bag looks attractive is functional and has more available space inside than most bags of the same size. I brought 3 separate bags, packed them and compared how much I could fit inside the Briggs and Riley won. I will say the bag is heavy so if you want something lighter this may not be for you. You also have to lift it over your head so I check your make sure I can do that as well.

Received this after a LOT of research on what’s out there. My last luggage purchase was an epic fail. Love the expansion feature on the luggage, so much nicer and more secure than a zipper expander. I absolutely love this piece and the matching compression bags are a big win as well. I feel so much more organized and prepared for my next trip! Oh and the guarantee? Top notch, registering was easy peesy. Buy from this website, don’t waste your time elsewhere.

Tried so hard to like this bag
This is the most infuriating suitcase I have ever owned. The compression system is horrible!! It does not stay compressed. Off a curb, pops open, in the trunk, pops open, in the overhead, pops open. This is an absolute design flaw. How does it not have a mechanism to prevent it from popping open? I brought it back to the dealer and they insisted that items inside the suitcase were pushing the release buttons??? Seriously?, if that were possible, than it is an even worse design than I thought (that wasn't it, I was able to easily have it pop open with cardboard across both releases in the store. If that weren't awful enough, it is heavy, scuffs easily, the zipper pulls are horrible. They are the strangest angle. It makes them so hard to pull. Consider yourself warned. . .

I've made it
I did a lot of research before buying my luggage, I even ordered another brand and sent it back because it didn't excite me, flying is stressful enough without having to think about your luggage, mine is the 22" spinner hard side and it gives me the feeling I wanted to get. As soon as I opened the box and removed it I couldn't wait for the first trip, the look, the quality, the expansion, it rolls like a dream and best of all its a Briggs & Riley. I've made it! This is a suitcase you're proud to roll through the airport or wherever you may use it. I did a test pack for four days, I loaded it up and zipped it, then pushed the expansion in, and like it says it all fit. No bulging sides, fits with all of my things in the overhead bin, what more could I ask. My research paid off!
