I always buy this candle in the winter months as it evokes autumn and winter vibes. It's smokey and woody has a really brilliant throw, so much so I only burn it for around 20 mins at a time, so as not to become overpowering. Think log fires and rain outside.

Pricey – but worth it
Of course no one really needs another candle, especially not one at this price point, but hear me out: While yes, it's expensive, the scent is luxurious and invokes a cosy winter atmosphere like no other. I only wish it came with a lid to preserve the beautiful scent.

Great autumn evening fragrance but burned quickly
My partner picked out this in store as he loves the deep woody smoky scents and I wasn’t sure at first, however the scent is a great room fragrance. It’s woody without being too artificial or overpowering - it’s certainly not a pine scented fragrance! Great for autumnal evenings and the black wax colour is a nice effect. Only downside is that we seemed to burn through it quicker than other candles…hard to tell if just because we liked it so much but didn’t seem to last as long as similarly sized candles from other brands

Love love love
I love byredo and this is one of my favourite byredo candles. Perfect candle for autumn / winter when in the street it smells of burnt wood and you want to smell it indoors as well. This candle lasts for a long time and it’s quite easy to burn with no pools. I totally recommend it for those that love a Smokey candle

Beautiful scent but not consistent?
I first bought this candle a couple of years ago and fell in love with the woody, smoky scent - comparable to Diptyque’s Feu de Bois, but still different enough to need both! The scent was exactly as described and it had a brilliant throw which filled the room. I then bought another one as I had enjoyed it so much just last year, and the throw was noticeably not as strong which was incredibly disappointing due to the high price point. Perhaps needs some investigation into consistency between batches?

Love this scent
I really love this candle (along with Byredo's Tree House and Cotton Poplin). I find that the cedarwood and leather notes along with a smokiness are quite prominent prior to burning the candle, but these don't come out as strongly once it's lit. As other reviewers have commented the scent turns out quite light, but still pleasant. I prefer Tree House to Woods, but I still think this is a lovely candle and I'd certainly purchase it again.
