Web ID: 2680927Warmest mittens, ever (size/fit notes)
WARMTH: Even when wind chill temperatures were reported around 7F, these mittens kept my fingers warm--warmer than my "windproof" fleece mittens and my poly-insulated puffy nylon mittens. I usually wear these while walking, and they are sometimes even too warm for me if the temperature is above 32F. The touch screen sensitive thumb is useful if I'm standing outside. Because of the price and the delicate-seeming outer fabric, I won't be wearing these for heavy duty activities. SIZING: My hand circumference (excluding thumb) is about 7" and my wrist is about 5.5". I've read reviews saying that these run small, but size S works for me, and that's the size that I've seen for me on most glove size charts. Size M had excess room in width and finger/thumb length (my hands felt like they were swimming in them). Size S was more difficult to put on because the cinched outer elastic is narrow; the knit cuff part is fine. With one mitten on, I have to make sure to hold the knit cuff and the outer shell together to get my other hand through the opening. Once I have the mittens on, they fit great and don't feel constricting anywhere. I wish the cinched outer elastic had more give, because the knit cuff is enough to keep cold air out. These mittens are too expensive for what they are, but I'm glad to have them and plan to wear them a lot.
