Perfect Chelsea Boot…Almost

I’ve been on the hunt for a sleek, lightweight, almond-toe Chelsea boot with a rubber or flexible sole to replace an older pair I have from another brand. This pair from Clergerie checked all the boxes. It also has a slight lift or platform which I wasn’t looking for but don’t mind. I feared it would be narrow for my wider feet as it looks more pointy than almond in the toe area. I’m a size 7.5 but often order an 8 to accommodate my wider feet. I ordered these in size 38. With sweat socks these shoes were too tight. Without socks or really thin socks they were more comfortable but still a little crowded in the toe box. WARNING: Online the Bloomingdale’s website lists the size as 38/US 8, so I thought I was ordering a U.S. size 8. However, the Clergerie box lists the size as 38/ US 7.5. I’ll exchange for a half size larger, which I hope will work out. The bootie is otherwise perfect.
