too sparkly and patchy

I'm in my 60s and wanted a product to cover discoloration and brighten my eyelids. Due to reviews from other older users, I thought this might be it. The Canvas Light shade was too "frosted" for me and highlighted wrinkles on my eyelids. I didn't try it as a base for eyeshadow, so I can't speak to that. However, as a standalone lid-brightener, it didn't work for me. I already have some lightly sparkly eyeshadows that cover just as well, plus after reading reviews about this product drying out, it wasn't worth the cost. I returned.
