The material on the back is rubber, making it difficult to put through the loops.

I Have Two

It bodes well that I've had one for many years and went back to buy another when my waist shrunk. However, it runs a little small. I'm a 32 and the 34 actually fits a little better. The material is great - not all belts are leather lined and this one is.
