Beautiful necklace poor quality

I received this as a gift for my wedding and it is really the most beautiful necklace. I wore it as an everyday piece and it went with everything I wore. However, this necklace would break right where the Y meets in the middle ALL THE TIME. I took it in for repair at least 4 or 5 times. It was so frustrating because it was in repair most of the time I had it. The last time I took it in for repair, they told me that they were just going to give me an entirely new piece. But, within a few months, it broke again. I unfortunately just returned it and got different pieces of jewelry instead because I didn’t want to keep repairing it. It’s such a bummer because I really loved it and definitely miss it. Very unique piece. But the quality and the repairs were very very poor.
