On opening the box I could smell the beautiful scent of this candle it seemed very strong. Unfortunately I think the throw of the candle isn't the best I do wish it would be better considering the cost. The candle its self is lovely and adds a nice touch to my mantle. The candle came with a lovely set of valentines matchsticks that was a lovely surprise

Diptyque Candle
Diptyque candles really are the best and this special Amber candle is no exception (I also have Geranium Rosa and Etoile from the Christmas Limited Edition). The colour of the glass is really rich and elegant - a deep orangey brown. The candle itself is standard white. The scent is spicy and sweet and quite masculine. It reminds me of a classic cologne. I like that it has subtle branding. I hate flashy candles. This one looks really striking on my kitchen island. Would definitely buy again either for myself or for a gift for someone else. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Looking forward to adding to my Diptyque collection!

Great throw and unique Ambre scent
Ambre is my favourite candle scent but it's not the easiest scent to find. I've tried a few from various but this by Diptyque is my number one candle and a gorgeous gift. The throw goes far, and you can even smell the candle when it's not lit and you're walking past

The best
This is by far the best Amber accord I have ever found. It’s deep and resinous but without falling into the woody and oud as many ambers do. It’s spicy but not cloying spice and it’s the right balance between frankincense and spices. It’s like a trip across ancient desert routes - I have been to Petra is every time I smell this I think of Petra.

Cosy & Relaxing Scent
I adore Diptyque candles and this was my first time buying the Ambre scent. It is so cosy, warming and relaxing. One of their best. Shame they're so expensive, but as a luxury treat, they're worth it!

Too much warming spice for me
This is overall an excellent candle. It fills the room quickly and burns clean. The size is small enough to give an even burn without too much fuzz. I’m being picky but I feel there is too much spice going on in this woody scent. They do work together but I’d personally prefer the original amber note.

Not the scent for me, but always a classic
I received this as a Thanksgiving gift from a friend who knows I’m a massive Diptique fan. I usually buy Oranger or Pomander, so I was interested to try something new and seasonal. It’s not for me sadly, it’s a bit heavy and sort of treacle or golden musky, but not sweet, however I appreciate that it is a good seasonal scent and many will like this esp. in autumn/winter and around Christmas. I’ll be sticking to the 2 I like. But it’s of course the classic Diptique quality, long time burning, clean smell and clean in the air, and a stylish addition to the mantle piece.

Amaaaazing
The candle is a classic.I've been buying this scent for years and won't be stopping any time soon! They do last if you use them sensibly and don't have them constantly burning. The smell seems to stay in my room for hours after I've blown it out. It’s definitely one of the strongest diptyque candles I’ve had
