misleading pictures

the back of the boot doesn’t have that like reptile finish on the top. Only the heel has the design. From trying them on, they are comfy, but there’s a solid maybe half inch of space in the front that’s empty. I’m on the fence about returning them or giving them a shot. For reference I bought them on sale with the intention of them being a dressier boot option for work in a business casual setting.
