Scalp protection setting never worked

Despite mixed reviews, I purchased the Dyson blow dryer, the scalp protection setting did not work. I returned it and will not purchase another for this reason.

Second Dryer

Second Dyson for my personal use. Upgraded to the heat settings options. Either dryer leaves hair in great condition. Takes 10-15 minutes to dry and style medium length fine hair. First one...sent it to daughter so when we visit, I still have a Dyson. Bet she will also use it!

The only thing I’m disappointed in is the heaviness of the electrical cord. I wasn’t expecting it to be so heavy duty for a small home appliance. I’m sure it is necessary but I don’t like it
