Great color, bad fit
The color is beautiful but the top section puffs out so much, it made me look 15 pounds heavier.

A Lovely, Flattering Surprise!
I did not think this burgundy/plum velvet dress would fit correctly with its non-stretch waist as I am rather large around the middle, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the waist fit, but the dress was wildly flattering from the side and made me look about ten pounds lighter! The neckline is one of my flattering go-to's and I was pleased to see the neckline ran a bit wide than most, as the buttons were BRUTAL to open and close - I just figured I'd put on the dress and THEN do my hair and makeup, but since I know that is not realistic for most women (my hair is super-short), I would strongly recommend replacing the elastic buttonholders with longer ones ASAP!

My velvet gown
I wore this beautiful and comfortable gown on an extremely cold evening. I was worried that I would be cold, but with the lining and the velvet material, I wasn't cold. Of course my arms were covered. It is worth the money I paid for it and I will enjoy wearing it over and over again.
