EmberGen 2 Heating Mug, 10 oz.

Short life span

I have 4 Embers 2 mugs and 2 travel cups. They are great until the second year. That’s when the paint begins to chip away from the bottom. This is the second mug to do that. I need a new one now that this one is past the warranty. Just wish they lasted longer!

Great until they aren’t

I’ve had 3 go dead on me in less than 6 months. They work great until they don’t.

Does not work with new app

Have three mugs - now they went and reset the app and none of the the three sync. Created new account, reinstalled app, unsynched old bluetooth settings and nothing. stay away from this mug until they fix the app

Love it, but…

I got an ember mug2 for my birthday back in October and it’s been in constant use ever since. I’m a mom to 2 little ones and drinking my coffee while it was still hot felt like a distant memory. It’s so nice make a drink, accidentally forget about it, remember it and come back to only to find it’s still at the perfect temperature. I did take off two stars because I’m quite disappointed by a couple of things: - the coating feels cheap - which is unacceptable given the price of this mug. It already has a chip in it even though I am so careful when washing and using. I use a little wooden spoon I still scratches in the bottom! The coating is so prone to stains, after only a few uses it already looks like one of those mugs you see at someone’s house that makes you not want to have a cuppa. - the app: it worked perfectly fine before the most recent update and now the presets don’t work and I can’t use my smart watch with it anymore. Essentially, do I live this mug? Yes, but all I will say to future buyers is just buy the black one so you don’t see all the terrible stains and don’t bother using the presets on the app.

Love it but temperamental

Love the mug but my wife’s quit working after she dropped it, not built tough. My mug after 6 months won’t hold a charge longer than 20 minutes. I really love them but hope gen 2 is better or I will have to start looking at different mugs.

disappointment

Bought this a week ago and very disappointed. It is more hassle than its worth. I get one cup of warm coffee if I drink it right away. If your a one cup person and dont mind the extra fuss it may be ok but for that hefty price id check into a Yeti

Moms best friend

As a mom, this is the best mug ever so I can always have my warm coffee at my desired temperature

I bought a cooper one. I didn’t know you couldn’t use a spoon. The cooper is coming off on the inside. Just want everybody to know. Don’t buy the cooper one so I’m looking at other ones.
