    Molecule 02 consists of the molecule AMBROXAN™ pure and singular.

    AMBROXAN™, isolated from plant sources in 1950, has a subtle sensual quality with a radiant, long-lasting drydown. It is a crystal with a chemical structure identical to the ambrox derived from ambergris. For centuries ambergris was perhaps the most prized ingredient in perfumery. It is a somewhat mysterious substance expelled by the sperm whale that only attains its fine scent after a long maturation floating in the ocean. Ambergris is rarely found these days, and the "amber" in a modern fragrance will be a lab-created equivalent. By far the finest of these is the nature-identical molecule AMBROXAN™.

    Ambergris was always valued for its refinement as well as its sensuality. This quality persists in AMBROXAN™. "It has a fresh, almost mineral quality," says perfumer Geza Schoen, "that lingers into the drydown."

    Perfumer Geza Schoen has a reputation as a rebel in the fragrance world. In 2001, he resigned from his job at fragrance manufacturers H & R in Paris and moved to London. It was in London, in 2006, that he launched Escentric Molecules. Often described as the "anti-fragrance fragrance brand," Escentric Molecules confounded expectations to become an exponential success.

Subtile amber scent

I have both, molecule 1 and 2 and both perfumes are my absolute faves! This perfume has an unique smell it has one ingredient ambroxan , a amber , musky clean scent. Because it’s one note of a scent it’s very light and ideal when you are sensitive for fragances because of headaches of neurodiversity. It feels very soft and sensual when I wear it

My “go-to” scent

WYKYK - Am stopped by other “believers” who recognize the scent and it’s always a fun moment! It makes me feel put-together, but not overly fussy. I am told that the ambergris ingredient will also help with the staying power of other scents, but have not mixed yet. Easy online purchase experience with speedy delivery, though I still prefer to order over the phone through customer service. Free shipping is the icing.

Tricky one

Even after 6 months of having this perfume I still can't decide if I like it. It was never my first choice but I still liked it from time to time. It is very minimal and I can't tell what it is. Decided to give ot to my friend as it might suit better to her. I think ot is a good workplace perfume- not too overwelming and strong.
