    Fresh, green notes and cool citrus. Exuberant, engaging and brimming with energy, it celebrates a new femininity. Introduced in 1972, Aliage was an idea ahead of its time. Mrs. Estée Lauder created it as the very first "sports fragrance" because she felt that the active woman needed a scent all her own. She designed it for the contemporary woman who likes casual clothes, leads an active life and moves around the world as if it were her home.

    Aliage celebrates the new femininity which emerged in the early '70s. At that time, perfume advertising was about ballgowns and glamour, not bicycles and fishing boots. Women were surprised and thrilled by this fresh, cool fragrance and its exuberant, energetic feeling. It was a revolutionary concept at the time, and an idea that's still relevant today.

Very fresh and crisp!

I was delighted to see this fragrance again, I thought it had gone away for good. It smells very botanical, like beautiful green plants, ivy and such. It definitely is not floral. I like wearing this when I’m in a casual mood. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simply that it doesn’t last through my day!

Scent Quickly Dissipates

It doesn’t smell like the original or anywhere near close. However I was willing to stick with it to see if I grew to like it. An hour later, I couldn’t smell it at all on my wrists. That’s the strangest experience I’ve ever had with a perfume. How can it completely dissipate? I returned it today.

not the same

Compared to the old formula, this is much more watered down. The scent is weaker and doesn’t last long. I loved the woodsy, lasting scent in the old Aliage and like so many things these days, the new formula just isn’t the same quality.
