Left skin feeling sticky

I really didn't like this product which I received as a large 15ml free sample, so I was able to test it out for a couple of weeks. The main thing that I couldn't get my head around is the fact that it left my skin feeling really tacky and sticky. This made moisturiser and make up application difficult and I just didn't like the feeling of the stickiness after application. I usually love Eve Lom products, but this one is a hard pass for me.

Wow, a gentle retinol

I have used a few retinol serums and I really like this one. I got a deluxe sample of it from the Space NK skin care box. It melts into your skin, not sticky and doesn't irraite it. I have been using it for about two weeks. I'll probably buy a full size bottle once I finish the product.

Great serum

I really enjoyed using this serum. It has a jelly-like consistency yet is still lightweight, making it easy to apply smoothly and very quick to absorb. I found I only needed to use a couple of drops nightly to see the retinol making a difference, with my skin looking brighter and healthier. My only slight criticism is the price point, which is still quite high for a high-quality retinol serum, so for me this is more of a treat than a regular purchase.

Indulgent

Using the Eve Lom serum feels like a real indulgence. The texture is liquid but not overly thin, so when I apply a drop to each cheek and my forehead using the built-in dropper, it stays in place without running. It sinks into the skin quickly and leaves it feeling soft, smooth, and noticeably plumper. There’s a subtle rose scent that’s light and doesn’t linger, which I appreciate. While it didn’t erase fine lines, I did notice my skin looking more luminous, soothed, and slightly firmer overall.

Sample

I received a sample of the Eve Lom Retinol Serum with a recent purchase and was able to get about two uses out of it. The texture was lightweight and felt nice on the skin, absorbing quickly without any irritation. However, with such a small amount, it’s hard to tell if it had any real effect on my skin. It seemed pleasant enough, but based on the high price point, I wouldn’t consider purchasing the full size without seeing more noticeable results. Glad I got to try it, but not a must-have for me.

An average retinol

I received a small sample of this serum. The smell was light and pleasant but not overwhelming. It didn't hurt to wear like some retinol products I've used, which is nice, but I didn't feel that my skin looked any different after using it. It didn't exacerbate my oily skin or my dry areas, which is good. I think it would take more time to tell after using it a few times but I can't see why any retinol product needs to be £145 as there are plenty good ones for no more than £50.
