About The Brand

Free People apparel, shoes, and accessories are for the confident girl who's creative, smart, and can't resist petting a dog—from the sweet to the tough, the tomboy to the romantic. It began when Dick Hayne opened a small, unique store in West Philadelphia in 1970 called Free People. The store grew to include multiple locations and the name was changed to Urban Outfitters. As the brand continued to grow, Hayne and his wife realized it was the original concept of Free People that represented some of their favorite ideas about style—ideas of femininity, courage, and spirit. Free People was reiterated once again as a small boutique in New Jersey where unique styles could be found. Today, Free People's bohemian-inspired garments, shoes, and accessories can be found in boutiques throughout the United States and Canada and are carried in specialty stores worldwide including Bloomingdale's

Great quality - super cute

I always love this brand and this sweater did not disappoint. It does run large so I returned a S for an XS. I’m 5’6 and 130lbs.

Nope!

First off it’s absolutely HUGE! I normally wear a true XXL. I got the large and it’s still big. I got the cherry. It’s is not a true vi rant red. It looks like a faded sweater.

Love

I’m normally an XL but the small oft great with a little over sized just like I was looking for. Bought the black in store and waiting on the white to be delivered. Can wear with jeans , leggings or even a skirt

Very Lare

Loved the quality, but these run larger than usual for Free People, which are known to run large. I always order a size smaller but this time I it took three tries to get the proper fit but by then they were out of the XS.

Great sweater

I don’t understand these reviews about how huge this sweater is. Anyone who wears Free People knows their clothes run big. I’m pretty sure it’s listed as slouchy and tunic length on their website. It’s intended to be oversized hence the name tunic. I have this sweater in 8 colors and adore it. I’m a small and have the small and extra small and love the fit of both. I’m 5’4 and weigh 138 with athletic build. I’ve had them for years and they’ve held up well. Some snags are inevitable, but that’s with any wear of any clothing item. So all of the one star reviews are a little biased and might be from people who are unaware of Free People sizing or the description of the sweater. I don’t think I own or know of Free People making a fitted sweater. So, from someone who owns several of these and Free People items in general, get the sweater! If you want a more fitted sweater, Free People isn’t where you should be looking.
