It began when Dick Hayne opened a small, unique store in West Philadelphia in 1970 called Free People. The store grew to include multiple locations and the name was changed to Urban Outfitters. As the brand continued to grow, Hayne and his wife realized it was the original concept of Free People that represented some of their favorite ideas about style—ideas of femininity, courage, and spirit. Free People was reiterated once again as a small boutique in New Jersey where unique styles could be found. Today, Free People's bohemian-inspired garments, shoes, and accessories can be found in boutiques throughout the United States and Canada and are carried in specialty stores worldwide including Bloomingdale's.

Too small - Really bad purchase - really pist!!!

Size is wrong. Too small. I am women-small in all stores & junior-med, and this small was wrong. Maybe it is sized for juniors? But where does it say junior, I only see women!!! The price is steep and you donot get what you buy. I will not buy "Free People" brand any more. First & Last. Unable to return or exchange.

Smaller than usual.... i mean really small

I bought it runs really small. To avoid this problem, i always check the size guide and measurements. But is was of NO use because the garment was in S - M - L. ans the guide was in size 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 etc. Useless... for expensive garment.

Black beauty

I read reviews about Free people sweaters being oversized so I got a size small (I normally wear medium) and I'm glad I did. Love the navy color and it's soft to touch.

Really wanted to live this!

I really like returning things but this cardigan was really heavy and not warm or fuzzy material. There is also a lot of loose threading and the color is more of A washed out blue.
