Free People apparel, shoes, and accessories are for the confident girl who's creative, smart, and can't resist petting a dog—from the sweet to the tough, the tomboy to the romantic. It began when Dick Hayne opened a small, unique store in West Philadelphia in 1970 called Free People. The store grew to include multiple locations and the name was changed to Urban Outfitters. As the brand continued to grow, Hayne and his wife realized it was the original concept of Free People that represented some of their favorite ideas about style—ideas of femininity, courage, and spirit. Free People was reiterated once again as a small boutique in New Jersey where unique styles could be found. Today, Free People's bohemian-inspired garments, shoes, and accessories can be found in boutiques throughout the United States and Canada and are carried in specialty stores worldwide including Bloomingdale's.

My fav part was the length!

This is the nicest shirt I have bought myself in a while. The color is just off white/barely cream, fresh look, the material soft and just sits right. I love love the length- looks almost like a mini dress - can be worn with leggings or tights. This was a keeper for me!

A necessity

This cotton top is so cool and versatile. Oversized with frayed edges, I like to wear it open, and do the half-tuck (French tuck) into shorts or pants. It doesn't have a flap collar, making it much easier to layer. I wash it in a net bag on gentle cool and no need for ironing, just shake it, and hang it up. Perfect for travel, no worry about wrinkles. Free People has unpredictable sizing, and I'm happy with Large (I'm 5'6" and wear 12/14). Love it! I always want this in my wardrobe!

SOOO big!

I like oversized and I'm not tiny. But wow - this was like a labcoat and a poncho had a baby. I had to return it for a smaller size. And the smaller size still fits like an oversized shirt. Perfect for errands, on the beach, or a summer night.

Cool and easy Free People top

I love Free People and this top is no exception. Can be worn with jeans or as a beach cover up. Light fabric and well made. Buttons are unique and gives the top a unique look.
