Overpriced junk

Quaffs down batteries. Frustrating install. The motor is useless after 6 months. Don't buy this.

Battery lasts Less than a month and Locks me out

Bettery lasts less than a month and locks me out without warning. I wish it had a key for backup

Horrible product

I have been trouble shooting battery drainage issues with the Yale Nest lock for nearly a year. At first, the lock was fantastic, then I started getting notifications to change the lock every 6-8 weeks. I started trouble shooting (noticing that this was a problem for other people posting here), and it got progressively worse. I'm now changing the batteries every SIX DAYS. I called Yale a month ago and because I'm 3 months outside of the warranty they "can't help me" other than give me 20% off a new crappy lock. Don't do it - it isn't worth the hassle.

Disconnects and won’t reconnect

When the batteries need to be replaced, the Yale X Nest lock disconnects from the Nest Connect. After hour of troubleshooting, it still won’t reconnect. None of the responsible parties, Yale, Nest, Google, have any workable solutions. Even the most tech savvy users can’t get it to work.

Don’t buy a lock without the optional key!

This lock is amazing… until it stops working and the company tells you there’s nothing they can do since it is passed the one year warranty period. We actually bought 2 of them. The first one stopped working within a month. The second one stopped working right after the year. I called and they tried to troubleshoot it over the phone but told me there was nothing else to do and they could offer me 10 percent off to buy another one. Don’t ever buy a lock that doesn’t have an optional key. It’s amazing while it works but it will be a terrible time when you’re either locked out or can’t get into your home. It’s not worth it!!!

Lousy product

I have spent countless hours trying to connect my lock to WiFi. You need, of course, another product to do so. Be forewarned. And it is lousy work around that only works some of the time. Go with another product. You are buying a part time job working for Google with this one.

This company is trash

They installed this garbage in my apartment complex. I got locked out twice and the apartment complex makes you change the batteries and if there’s a problem you will spend 2 hours on the phone dis-assembling the lock, scanning QR codes, and generally running you through the most inconvenient process just so you can get in and out of your house. This is most certainly NOT better than a normal key

Didn't make it 2 years

It never really worked properly and at 2-years it doesn't work at all. Have to replace, will not be buying yale again.
