Perfect dry weather/desert boot
I live in Phoenix AZ and frequently hike all the popular spots (camelback, piestewa, etc.), even in the summer 100°-110°F+. These boots are awesome. I'm very anti-goretex because I only hike in dry conditions so I needed a breathable boot. These fit the description perfectly. Very breathable, supportive, and comfortable. This was the only non-goretex mid I could find across the main competition which was insane to see. I'm so glad Hoka took this on. These were the first Hokas I ever bought and they lived up to the hype. Would 100% buy again.

Don't Waste Your Money
My husband and I both really like our Hoka running shoes, so buying these boots seemed like a no-brainer. Boy, was I wrong! My husband's pair broke with less than 30 miles of hiking on them. The top hook for the laces on the right boot just broke off mid-hike. Of course, this happened just outside of the return period. Mine gave me a really weird blister between my big toe and my first toe, which I've never had happen with any pair of shoes, no matter how ill-fitting. Again, this happened outside the return period. So almost $400 completely wasted. I don't even want to donate mine, as I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same experience.

Comfortable!!
Why have I waited so long to buy a pair of these?! These are ridiculously comfortable and light for a boot. I've had 2 hip replacements and finding a good hiking shoe that has cushion and stability has been a long search. I've either had one or the other but not both. I can walk all day at work and my feet don't get tired and my hip isn't screaming at me by the end of the day. Awesome job Hoka, you just gained a customer for life!!

Best Hiking Shoe I've Worn
I've had just a single pair for a little over a year and a half, and the things have been bulletproof. Honestly did not expect them to last as well as they have, even for the price. California, Utah, Colorado, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania — they've been through the wringer and they're still comfortable and going strong. Best Hokas I've had, out of 7 or 8 pairs now. Very comfortable, extremely breathable, and easy to get on and off. Once this pair inevitably wears out, I'll be buying another one for sure.

hurts my ankle bone
left boot inside pad is ok but right boot pads, where they meet and are sewn together form a hard spot that scuffed and blistered and peeled the the skin off my outside ankle bone. YYou should just get rid of the pair of sewn together pads and replace with one piece inside the ankles like the kaha and you will have a gem of a boot
