Sole started falling off within months.

Not sure what's going on with these shoes they used to be good but the last two pairs I've bought have had the same problem. The pieces on the bottom of the shoe start peeling off. It's really unfortunate as these are not a cheap shoe to buy. It's super annoying after spending over 150 dollars and after just a couple of months of regular use the sole starts to fall apart. I don't think I will be supporting this company any longer.

Feel lied to

I'm actually pretty upset about this product. This is not a Clifton 9. I held out even trying the 10 for a long time because it clearly had a more pronounced rocker. I thought I would still be able to buy the Clifton 9 in this version if it didn't work for me. This isn't the same shoe. Not everyone can use an early stage rocker. How are you going to change the rocker and still call it a Clifton 9? Now I can't find any 9s anymore and I am left with one last pair while I am in the abyss looking for anything that will work for me again. This was the one shoe. How can you change the whole function of a shoe and call it the same shoe. Just make another shoe. Keep the Clifton the late stage rocker that works for people.

So sorry for the confusion, we certainly don't want you to feel misled in any way. The Clifton 9 GTX is built on the same platform as the standard Clifton 9, but it's updated with a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper and weather-ready traction pods to handle tougher conditions. We encourage you to explore them for your 30-day trial, and see if a break-in period could offer a more familiar feel: bit.ly/HOKAEXRT. If not, see if the Solimar could be the missing piece in your collection. It's a neutral and balanced option with a late-stage meta-rocker.

Very good

Now I must say for my condition the Bondi 9 and the Clifton 10 do feel better. Not a huge difference but some. But I've tried Brooks, and all the others spent all this money and they legit don't even compare to Hoka. I have crpd and plantar fasciitis so it requires the control and comfort, Hoka has it.

Disappointed

Would not buy again - comfy but poor quality

While it's undeniable the shoe is extremely comfortable (why I have two stars instead of one), as others have mentioned the quality is extremely subpar for the price point. After only a couple months of use, the inset panels on the sole began to peel off. After researching online, I elected to not even bother trying to contact Hoka due to their reputation for being dismissive and denying others' claim for what is plainly a manufacturing defect. It's a real shame, because I'd love to buy another pair of comfortable shoes from Hoka, but I have zero faith they will last.

Max cushion

First pair of hokas. Have not tested the goretex in really wet situation, but just putting them on was eye opener. If you are looking for cushion, these are on a completely different level from any nike, new balance, under armour, Asics, Reebok shoes I have ever tried. The soles are so big they might feel clunky, but light as a feather, and roll forward very smooth and natural so clunky isn't right word. Hands down the most comfortable new shoes I've ever worn

I WOULD NOT buy this product again.

I have worn Bondi for many years and they are THE BEST, hands down! Wanted GTX as my feet get wet alot of days walking my Golden Retriever at the Park everyday. So, I settled on the Clifton 9 GTX. BAD CHOICE! The front third of my feet still get wet and that is only walking in grass some of the time, with morning dew on it. So the GTX is useless! Also, they say the cushioning in PLUSH, just like they say for Bondi....no comparison... the Bondi is sweet on the feet, this Clifton 9 GTX is only average. So for their intended purpose, Clifton 9 GTX is a failure and I wasted my money! Please make a Bondi 9 GTX, if that is possible!

Dry and comfortable should be two easy boxes to check for this model, and we are so sorry to hear that was not the case with your pair. We appreciate you giving them a shot, but if they are not performing as expected, our Fly-For-30 guarantee: bit.ly/HOKA30Day has your back. It’s extended to 60 days for HOKA Members. We hope you'll take advantage and see if our Kaha 3 Low GTX could be a better pair for your daily strolls with the pup. It’s a more heavy-duty option, with unmistakable cushioning from heel-to-toe. And remember, if the Gore-Tex features give you trouble down the line, every HOKA item is backed by a one-year warranty. Read all about it here: bit.ly/HOKAWty and please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
