Best foundation……..ever!!

After trying many brands over the years I am overjoyed at eventually finding the Ambient Soft Glow Foundation by Hourglass. Very full coverage without causing any caking, it has a lovely dewy finish that lasts all day. A little of the product goes a long way. This foundation comes in plenty of shades. It’s quite expensive, but worth the money. I always look out for the offers/sales and double point events when I buy.

THE BEST FOUNDATION

This foundation is absolutely perfect. After trying countless brands—including popular viral favorites like Dior Skin Glow and Armani Luminous Silk—this one stands out as the best by far. The shade 6 matches my yellow undertone flawlessly and doesn’t oxidize or turn peachy, which has been a struggle with every other foundation I’ve used. It provides excellent coverage for imperfections while still maintaining a natural, no-makeup appearance. Plus, it delivers a beautiful, glowing finish without feeling greasy or oily at all.

Best foundation I have ever used

This is the perfect foundation. As someone who has tried all the brands including some of the viral favourites like Dior skin glow and Armani luminous silk. This is the best by far, the colour is perfect for my yellow undertone. I use the shade 3 and it doesn’t oxidise or look peach at all, which has always been a problem with every other foundation I have used. It also covers any imperfections whilst maintaining a natural no makeup look. Also gives the perfect glowy look without being greasy/oily.

Tried to move on but can't

I bought this 2 years ago on discount. Fell in love but couldn't begrudge the full price when it ran out so tried a different foundation, then another, but nothing seems to come close to this. Really flawless, went fine with my skincare, doesn't sink into cracks etc. Good shade range too. Annoyingly it's worth the money.

My new summer foundation

Finding a new foundation to use in the summer is always a problem for me because things tend to look just orange on my very pale skin. I bought 6.5 and it does not look very very promising on my hand, but actually it blended in quite well and looked fairly realistic, which is a Win as far as I'm concerned. I cannot take the sun at all now and have to wear SPF 50 sunblock, so it's quite difficult to find something which doesn't look like I've had an accident with the fake tan spray! Hourglass as usual have come up with something which has a nice texture and is blendable.

Beautiful foundation

This light textured foundation packs a punch. It goes on like a dream and gives a soft focus light diffusion. I have normal/dry skin so I used a serum and spf under it. The foundation is easy to blend and stays on all day without looking cakey. I used shade 7 on my medium mac nc25/30 skin

Hard Work

I expected great results from this foundation, especially for the price. It looks good when you first apply but it quickly builds up in areas such as nose and makes the skin look dry. If you wear sunglasses you will notice it all build up where the sunglasses sit. I purchased the hourglass brushes and finishing powder and use a primer but still struggled with it.

Totally unexpected colour!

I had high hopes for this foundation, and while it feels great on the skin and doesn’t emphasize pores or fine lines, the shade match was completely off. I purchased shade 6.5, which is described as light medium neutral, but it is noticeably yellow. While I might be able to use it lightly, building coverage isn’t an option with such a mismatched tone. The shade descriptions and model photos need to be more accurate—this was quite deceiving. I noticed there's another light medium neutral shade, 7.5, so I may try that, but I’ll be going to a store to swatch in person rather than risk another return. 4 stars because the formula is lovely, but the shade description is misleading and needs to be fixed.
