No price matching

I bought the Hunter insulated rain boots in black from Bloomingdale's and love them so much. I got these Hunter Play Chelsea Rain Booties in Dark Blue for my sister but Bloomingdales will not price match with competitors as told to me by Bloomingdale's chat customer service, they only price match within the same corporation, Macy's. Weird. So I bought these for 46% off at a competitor instead.
