Disappointed

I have used the original illuminate primer for years, I’ve just tried the new version. Do not waste your money. It is nothing like the original version. The updated primer is watery, gives barely any coverage, no real sheen. I’ve been researching other brands because I will not be using this one. Total waste of money.

Best primer ever

I have oily skin and have always steered away from hydrating primers and gone for mattifying ones. I received this one initially as a sample and my makeup went on so smooth and glowy and it didn’t add any additional oiliness to my skin. The makeup sat flawless and I have since repurchased this

My go to primer

Having had previously bought a trio of the three Laura Mercier primers, I loved this one the most and bought a full one this time. I’d make my foundation glide on so smoothly, and my skin feels hydrated.

Dissapointed

Unfortunately this is not as good as the previous illuminating primer... the colour and the sheen is totally different. It just doesn’t work as well Also the size is now 30ml so smaller the previous 50ml. Why change this when it was a great product before?

New formula is awful and smaller

New formula is making me break out and doesn’t last all day. It hardly has any illumination and is very watery compared to the old formula. I have used this product for years but I won’t be using it again .Also you get 20ml less product but the same price

Good

This is a good primer, especially to use around my dry nose, or flaked skin texture (after retinol peels). It also makes my make up go on like butter! I have sensitive combination skin and it leaves me with no irritation or zits in the morning. Good product overall.

Incredible!

I’m on my 4th bottle of this, and I don’t think I’ll ever change my primer. This is such a good primer to give you an extremely plump, hydrated base. It makes my skin glow like no other, however it doesn’t make it oily/shiny/greasy. Also works well by itself to give you a slight glow.

Product has changed significantly

I was using the previous primer so I ordered again when I had run out. Very different and unfortunately not as good. Have persisted with it and whilst it does an adequate job, it certainly does not compare to the original you used to sell.
