This is a good illuminating primer, especially to use on dry and cold weather days (or flaked skin texture after retinol peels) It also makes foundation finish dewy ! I have sensitive combination skin and it leaves me with no irritation or zits in the morning. Very versatile as a gift for make up lover!

Not noticing any difference
This one looks great when you get it out from the tube but I’m sadly not noticing any effect on my make/ that it’s lasting any longer, so stopped using after a whirl. Have recently tried mixing a little bit of this with my foundation and that gives a nice glow, but again not helping the makeup last. Still get the creasing under eyes etc.

Not for me
Ever since Clarins changed the formula to its Beauty Flash Balm, I've been searching for a replacement. This isn't it. It sinks into my skin and doesn't provide a smooth base for make-up application; I do have very dry skin so this could well be a factor. I also saw no evidence of illumination or glow. A product that did nothing for me. The search continues.

Wow!
I was worried about using this primer as I have mature and combination/oily skin. Usually products that claim to be illuminating rest in my wrinkles and accentuate them and make my oily parts even worse. This did neither. It is actually a beautiful primer that mattifies the oils but gives a freshening glow at the same time. It held my foundation in place and contributed to a lovely finish to my makeup. Loved it and highly recommend it to those fearful of "illumination".

The jury is out for me
This particular product makes my skin feel nice and quite nourished but as a primer? It feels a little too wet in texture and slippery to act as that. So for now I would probably stick to the tried and tested primers that I use. I do feel like this product does help my makeup stay put but as a primer the texture isn’t one I’d naturally choose.

Illuminating and glowy
I used this under my foundation and had lots of compliments about my skin. I usually use the CT one which I love but had this as a sample so tried it and was impressed. My skin was glowy but in a subtle way so I use it for everyday make up as well as more of evening look make up. I’d recommend.

Excellent product
I recently received a sample of this product as part of a promotion and actually put off trying it. I do normally use the hydrating primer of this range but thought I would try the illuminating. My foundation went from being flat to being brought to life and looking glowy. Colleagues actually commented on how awake I look. Definitely will be swapping primers. I have tried several different brands of primers and find Laura mercier to be one of the best at keeping my make up throughout the day. Definitely will be repurchasing

Gentle glow
I got this in a gift set and really like its light texture and gentle glow. So far, it has worked well with my foundations. It can also work on its own when there are no breakouts. I may buy it; however, I prefer gels rather than primer or foundation on its own
