Not perfect

I wanted to love this sweater, but it missed the mark for me. The fabric is pretty thick (like a fall sweater) and I was expecting it to be a thin spring/summer sweater considering that it has short sleeves. Could someone please explain to me the logic behind a thick short sleeve sweater? The fabric is too thick for the spring, but the short sleeves don't work in colder weather. Makes no sense to me so it's going back.
