Used twice so far and love it. The crust comes out perfectly crispy on the bottom as I had hoped. You need to warm them in the oven first, I wish there was more instruction on using them included, I had to do some research, but now that I know I am in love with them!! The pizza bakes quick, and I even used the crust to make a chocolate pizza, yum!

Not cheap but this kind of quality usually isn't.
I ordered two of the 14 inch Seasoned Carbon Steel Pizza Steel about 3 weeks ago and have used them several times. Factors in my 5-star rating: 1. They arrived in perfect condition with excellent packaging. 2. The steels are well made and have good "heft" - not cheaply made or thin. I don't remember what the specs indicated, but mine weigh 1240 grams (2 lb 11.7 oz) each. 3. The pizza crusts have turned out just to my liking (but I can't assure you that the same will be true for you - too many variables of preparation and personal tastes). 4. I tend to use too much pizza sauce and too many toppings, which has resulted in soft crust bottoms when using a stone or, worse, when baking directly on the rack in my oven, which has a max temp of 500 deg F; however, with these steels (pre-heated of course) the bottoms are noticeably better, presumably because of the higher heat retention. 5. I am impressed that these are rated for use up to 1200 deg F - wow! I have some carbon steel pans that are rated only to 500 deg. - don't know the reason, but suspect it's related to the quality and thickness of the steel used. I recommend this product (to family, friends and you). It certainly isn't cheap in price but neither is it cheap in quality. Disclaimer: I'm just an old guy who likes to cook occasionally, and certainly not a chef, so this is a non-professional opinion.

Rough finish
This carbon steel pan is not finished properly. It is extremely rough, with sharp edges. Compared to another carbon steel pan I own in a larger size, this one falls short. If you keep it, be sure to oil with a cloth and not a paper towel, as the rough finish shreds the paper towel and leaves paper residue to burn later. Returned.
Carbon Steel Pizza - Highly Recommended!
Right out of the box, the quality is obvious. This thing is a beast! It's heavy, solid, and feels incredibly durable, like something you'd find in a professional kitchen. The pre-seasoned surface was smooth and dark, and it was practically ready to go after a quick rinse and wipe-down. The heat transfer is incredibly efficient and delivered even cooking. It blows traditional pizza stones out of the water in terms of heat retention and performance.

Nothing on the market rivals the MADE IN lineup of carbon steel in quality and selection. I have every piece but the wok and not a day goes by without putting at least one of them to work! I am VERY happy with every single purchase from this excellent Texas company!

This was a great addition to our camping gear. We used it to cook pizza over the fire and get a nice crispy bottom. Looking forward to trying it as a base for sourdough bread!
