What It Is

Gua sha has been practiced in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. This gua sha tool was built to have a firming, lifting effect on the skin.

  • What It Does

    Besides improving overall health and radiance of the skin, gua sha has a multitude of benefits:
    - Improves blood circulation
    - Reduces puffiness of the skin
    - Firms and lifts the skin
    - Anti-wrinkle

    Due to natural variations in stone, every facial tool is unique in pattern and color. The stones and crystals used are authentic and natural. Mount Lai does not artificially dye or treat the stones to let their true beauty shine through.

  • How To Use It

    - Start with a clean face and prep skin with a facial oil or serum.
    - Keep the tool flat against the face and begin with the forehead. Scrape in an upwards motion from the eyebrows to the hairline.
    - Move to the cheeks and scrape in an outwards motion starting from the crease of the nose until the ear.
    - Move to the jawline and use the end of the gua sha tool with the two curves. Start from the chin and scrape until the ear.
    - For the under-eye area, very gently scrape the gua sha tool from the inner corner of the eye outwards to the temple.

Jade Gua Sha Tool

I love it! I purchased the mystery box gift and got the headband. I tried the gua sha on my friend and she said it was so nice and relaxing.

Gua Sha Facial Tool

Love the size and sleek look of this obsidian tool. Use it daily to help recover from Bell's palsy. The groove is a nice shape for cheek bones. I liked its warming qualities. Really appreciated the stone properties page as it helped me choose what rock was best for my face.

Black Obsidian Gua Sha

Healing from Bell's Palsy and this is part of my daily routine. I love the look and feel of it and the shape is perfect for jaw bone. Really appreciated the page explaining the properties of the stone as it helped me pick out what was best for me. I do feel that the black obsidian is very warming compared to my jade and I love having both.

A part of my daily morning ritual

So far, so good! I bought my jade gua sha tool from a lovely merchant on Ocracoke Island, NC. I wish I could remember the name. It is a fascinating tool for the skin. The double bonus is that I can actually feel my sinuses draining as well. I can only imagine the health benefits aside from better skin.

I can't stop buying this Gua Sha tool!

This tool helps with my sinuses, my aging skin and tight neck muscles, and definitely my blood flow. It also helps apply my serums more evenly and with a cooler device than my hands. My dermatologist referred me to Mount Lai and we love this company! I need to stop dropping it in my sink, but I will buy it again every time.

It Broke

Works nicely just very delicate. I wouldn't necessarily recommend a delicate material like jade. Guashing means your face should be wet and when a jade gua sha like this comes to contact with water over the time, it will become weaker and weaker and break. Would love a return. I'm sorry.

ugly but fine

I received a really ugly piece of jade. full of imperfections but i guess that's what you get at this price point, i was just expecting more. aside from that it seems fine

Best Jade Gua Sha

Truly the best of the best when it comes to the jade gua shas out there. I've gone through many and this is the one I always reach for. Great quality, very durable, and the stone is beautiful too!
