Best hair oil ever - great for thirsty curls
I recently made the switch from Olaplex to Oribe because the former never seemed to give my hair the moisture it needed if I chose to leave my hair curly. If you compare the ingredients of both oils, this has far more deeply nourishing oils than Olaplex - not to denigrate Olaplex - it’s great for smoothing fine to medium thickness hair without weight. But if you need a really moisturising oil to manage frizz and help textured hair, and would appreciate all in one heat protection, this is great - do yourself a favour and make managing your curls a bit easier and a daily treat.

Shiny, moisturised hair!
I was a bit sceptical at first because I had heard reviews on it saying it weighed their hair down, and made their hair greasy. I haven't had any issues with that, in fact this oil has made my hair super shiny, healthy, and moisturised! the only reason I deducted 2 stars, was because of the price point. now don't get me wrong, the 100ml did last me, for nearly a year, but for a hair oil, I think it is a bit extortionate, especially as the bottle is plastic which for a £50 hair oil you might expect a bit more. But it is oribe and that's the reputation of luxury haircare. So with that in mind, if you want to splurge on a hair oil and want to try something new, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This product is gorgeous a little goes a long way and it smells divine I use it on wet hair and dry hair both works really well at taming frizz and giving a beautiful sheen to your hair I have mid length hair and I have my hair highlighted and it’s perfect for coloured hair

The healthiest and longest my hair has ever been
I am 36 years old, have never dyed my hair, and was not asked or incentivized by Oribe to write this review. I waited to share my thoughts until I had used this Oribe trio for about three months: the Hair Alchemy Fortifying Treatment Serum, the Supershine Moisturizing Cream, and the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. I wanted to be sure the results were real, especially given the price, and they are absolutely worth every penny. I have used Oribe’s Maximista Thickening Spray for years, and now I start applying the Hair Alchemy Fortifying Treatment Serum and the Supershine Moisturizing Cream once my hair is no longer soaking wet, just damp. Then I layer on the Maximista Thickening Spray before styling with my Dyson Airwrap. Once my hair is styled, I finish with a few drops of the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil for extra shine and softness. My hair is thin but wavy, and this routine has completely changed how it looks and feels. It is the healthiest and longest it has been in years, and I finally feel confident growing it out. People constantly ask if I am taking Nutrafol (I am not). My hair is smoother, fuller, and glossier than ever, and it smells incredible. These products have turned doing my hair into a true luxury self care ritual.

Not a perfect match for fine hair
My hair is fine blonde and the oil seems to be to heavy on my hair. It doesn't absorb completely and leaves oily residue even when applied in tiny amount. I do use it as a pre-wash oil compress and my hair likes it but for the intended purpose I must say I was not satisfied with the product.

The best
I received a sample of this in a recent order and loved it so purchased the full sized bottle. I have fine hair and have always struggled with oils as they leave my hair looking thin and weighed down. This oil is amazing. I put alittle in when my hair is dry and it leaves my hair looking glossy and shiny and not at all weighed down. It also seems to add fullness to my hair. I have also tried using this on damp hair which also worked well however I felt my hair looked alittle greasy and flatten the next day. Highly recommend
