so cropped yikes

so bummed. this sweater is a really beautiful but it is super cropped. I am a size 8 and got a large and it is wayyyy smaller than expected. wish they had another inch or two to the bottom. why do that do that? most average people don’t want to show their muffin top. since the material is stretchy I am afraid the xl will be the same. for reference I am 5’7” 145.
