homemade pasta made easy

I really like my new 7000 series HR2660/03 Pasta Maker. A helpful hint from another review suggested a small amount of oil on the outer edge of the shaping discs, on the inner area of the disc and on the area where the discs sits in the maker. This makes the pasta extrude cleaner and makes removal and cleaning easier.

Solid machine but minimal shapes

Good solid unit that is easy to use and produced great results following the instructions on the first attempt. Disappointing that the unit comes with minimal pasta shape discs and even though it is a brand new machine already any discs that were intially available are now unavailable for purchase. We replaced an old machine that had 3 times the choices of shapes with this machine. I would like to be able to make a fettuccini size pasta for example but cannot with what's supplied and I can't purchase other discs.Doesn't seem right.

Quiet, powerful and easy to clean.

Machine is so easy to use. Easy to clean. My only complaint is that there are zero instructions and recipes.

Must have in your kitchen

So easy to use, very versatile. I’ve tried every pasta recipe I could find online with every type of flour. With eggs without eggs, with olive oil without olive oil, simply water and flour, gluten-free, this Pasta Maker is solid and produces beautiful pasta. Start to finish…10 minutes to fresh pasta !

Noodleheads Rejoice!! Push Button = Fresh Pasta.

Okay, so I've had this machine about 6 weeks now, and I'm more enthusiastic about it than when it first arrived. It produces very consistent results, requires exactly zero expertise on my part, and cleans up in literally minutes. I take it off the shelf and put it on the counter (this is the hardest part of the entire procedure), measure in the specified amount of whatever flour I'm using (recipes included for many many options), turn the little guy on, push the "Auto" button, add the specified amount of water, and wait (about 3 minutes or so) for pasta to come out. Really. That's it. The parts that need cleaning are all dishwasher safe, but they're so easy to clean I don't bother with the dishwasher. It's almost faster to clean them in the sink than it is to put them in the dishwasher. Only the shaper head is a bit fiddly to clean, but if you allow it to dry thoroughly even that pops clean with a couple of pokes with the provided cleaning tool. I'm thinking of going Oriental and making some rice noodles. (Yes, recipes included).

Ok, but...

The pasta it produces is great, but we have had a few niggling issues with the pasta maker as it keeps giving "E1" error message (lid or extruder not in correct place). Initially we emptied the flour as we thought it was the extruder that was an issue, reassembled and got the error again. In the end we swapped the extruder and it worked fine. But is is a pain and messy to have to clear up the flour afdter emptying the pasta maker. This has done this 3 times now, and we have found others ways to eliminate the error, repeatedly removing/adding the lid, and also pressing the starrt button numerous times, but it has taken us a while to find a way around the issue.
