Highly disappointed as color wasn’t the same

I’ve been purchasing Ralph Lauren men’s cashmere sweaters for over 40 years. I’ve had almost every color ever produced. Many are RL purple label and some are RL polo cashmeres. The quality has always been good and consistent. Some of my sweaters are more than 25+ years old and look like brand new! I was highly disappointed when I received the “dark roast” polo cashmere. The sweater looked like a deep dark chocolate on the RL website. When I opened the box I was shocked to find out that it looked nothing like the color on the webpage. I bought this medium rusty brown melange sweater at Bloomingdale’s prior to the holidays. This bad experience confirmed my feelings in regards to ordering clothing online. Often designers will name a color different names (while the color is identical) which is very confusing for the consumer. The names should be the same if the color is the same.
