The bag looks stained, almost as if it was a returned item that was actually used. I was really disappointed when it came in.

It aint cheap - but its probably worth it

If you are price concerned and want to justify this...that's going to be difficult. If you want to splurge and feel good about it - then this works. This Travel Trunk handled its first 3 international flights well (1 european budget + 2 US international). Trunk has minor dents (to be expected, and less than I expected). Holds a ton, but itself is pretty lite weight. The 70/30 bottom/ top allocation worked for me as its easier for me to store shoes on the bottom and a garment flap on top for shirts and maybe a suit. Lifetime guarantee is very comforting - but also contriutes to pricing. Only issue i have is that the velcro seperators dont fully cover each side's openings, so some stuff may slip out when trying to close. Probably just a "me" thing - your mileage may differ.

A+ looks & function, embrace the dents & scuffs

second time buying this, it's a classic. Rimowa's got a decent warranty but I still don't recommend checking this bag- I've had one get fully totalled (granted I'd had other bags get completely ruined too, just not $1300 bags...).
