Handle is not aligned properly

I find the handle to be off center from what is shown in the pictures unlike the precision on my Shun knives. The angle guide does not line up properly to the honing edge. I think this is faulty.

A real Classic Steel

This is the kind of steel I remember My German Butcher Uncle having in his butcher shop in Scottsbluff, Nebraska in the 1960's. I remember as a boy wondering what a smooth steel rod did to a knife blade. In later years I learned the difference between a honing rods and a truing rods. This Shun Classic honing steel I would have proudly given this long passed uncle as a present he would have really liked it. as I do.

My husband used the classic

My husband used the classic Honing Steel and honed my Shun classic bread knife. He watched videos online to learn how to hone the serrated bread knife. The improvement in sharpness is AMAZING!! We are both 100% pleased with our purchase.
