These arrived and I wanted to love them. But every small plate had 4 notches that look like glaze drips from drying and the dinner plates had complete areas where the glaze wasn't even put on the plate. Which means you cant get them wet or it will soak into the plates. SO disappointing. I always thought spode was suppose to be very nice. It's just like the cheap ceramic you could buy anyplace.

The small notches or dimples you noticed on the back of the plates are not glaze drips or defects — they’re a normal result of the production process. During the final firing stage, plates rest on small metal pins to hold them in place. These marks are a characteristic of high-fired ceramics and do not affect the quality or durability of the plates.
