Patent leather cracking after only a few wears

I purchased these in black patent as a Christmas present and started wearing them four months ago. I have worn them to about 3 or 4 events, never in inclement weather. The patent leather is cracking in multiple places and the shoes look old and over-worn. I would have expected this of a fast-fashion budget brand but not of Stuart Weitzman or at this price. I have a pair of black patent Ferragamos and they still look shiny and better than this pair after over 7 years of wear. I reached out to Stuart Weitzman and Bloomingdale's and neither were able to replace the shoes or give me a refund.
