12 years, no chipped plates!
This is for the Loft set in general- have had since ‘09 so 12 YEARS now. Writing to say despite some of the reviews, ours DO NOT CHIP EASILY. We have had average builder-grade dishwashers, and are probably more on the gentle side when handling them. On occasion I have accidentally banged them hard at the edges & been surprised that it didn’t end up causing a chip. Maybe they’ve been tweaked over the years as many products are, but I am here looking for replacement salad plates because of a few that were dropped (on a stone counter) and broken over the years. I do have 3/10 cereal bowls with chips and 1/4 shallow “soup”/salad bowls with a chip. The chips didn’t happen until we had used them for 8-10 years! Willing to stick with these because the style is so classic with clean white lines & just enough texture, and I know they will look great for years to come.

Great small plates
We use these butter plates a lot, for lunch, cake etc. They last well. I do like the simple clean style of this series. If you like Bauhaus, you will like these.

So Many Uses!
We have the Loft set and these are a wonderful addition. A lovely size that is useful and versatile. We mostly use them as appetizer plates but they are also good for deserts. They could also be used as a bread and butter plate (although perhaps a smidgen large but not so if you serve with butter on the plate) and because of this we registered for extras to have on hand in the case of a dinner party. We have 24 and are considering getting a few more so we have enough even for cocktail parties when people tend to set their plates down. One of the best purchases the loft series has to offer and the "canape set" is a good deal when you consider the regular price per piece for this size plate. Their simple design makes them great for using alongside our olive wood cheese boards and bowls. We have never had a problem with them in the dishwasher- making clean up a breeze.
