The best gender neutral scent

Love this scent! It’s is definitely gender neutral but it’s not too masculine at all! It lasts all day (even longer than other scents from Vilhelm Parfumerie) and keeps me smelling fresh (& sexy)

Sits very well on my skin.

I get stopped by and asked about what I’m wearing whenever I wear Morning Chess. I wear my perfumes for me, and how it makes me feel, but to have others sniff and enjoy it on me is a plus. I’m the kind of person who enjoys freshly pinched herbs and tangy citrus over anything sticky sweet if that helps.

Wanted to love it....

Let me start off by saying I LOVE VP. I have "Dear Polly" and was anxious to try their different lines. Morning Chess' notes of black amber and bergamot appealed to me, but unfortunately, this perfume did not sit well on my skin. The first hour smelled too green for me... the best way I can describe it is if you've ever smelled ladybugs (such a strange comparison, I know). Very bitter, acrid, not fresh and energizing like other green scents. It goes to show you that you really must test it out in person and not go by reading the notes alone! I will say that going on the 4th hour it's starting to smell much more amber-ic and woody, like a very light Christmas / pine scent. Not for me, but test it and see if it works for you!
