Very heavy

While this frame is beautiful, it is very heavy. It also does not fit on a normal-sized bookshelf. Unfortunately, had to return it.

Beautiful but flawed

I ordered two 4x6 Lismore picture frames from Macys.com. I opened the box of the first frame and it was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, there was a bubble in the crystal. The bubble is not in the corner of the frame, or on the side, but near the middle. It is extremely noticeable and really detracts from the picture. I opened the box which contained the second frame...it also had a noticeable bubble where the picture should be placed. Since the second frame was intended as a gift, it has to be returned. I would suggest purchasing the frame, but only if you can do so in person. If you can inspect the frame in person you will be able to avoid any disappointment (arising from quality control issues) as well as the inconvenience of a return.

Replacement Backs

Same problem with the backing, but after a longer period of time. It's most likely because it is an extremely heavy frame and the quality of the backing is good but definitely needs replacement every year or so. You can purchase the backing thru the Waterford website.

Lismore

The Lismore style is a tradional Waterford piece which will never go out of style. This picture frame is gorgeous especially for formal pictures that you want to put on display. I also like the 8 x 10 frame which I see in the Macy's stores but not online. The frame is heavy and would be difficult to knock over. The pictures are easily put in and removed as well with the little metal latches that slide into a little crystal groove. The picture fits perfectly into the frame so you don't have the problem of the picture sliding down once you have put properly secured the picture in the frame, which seems to happen a lot with other frames.
